Complimentary shared laundry is available on-site and shared with only one neighboring unit. The laundry area is conveniently located between the two apartments behind a locked door you'll have access to during your stay.

Venture Base is designed to be a comfortable, affordable home base for exploring Southern Utah. While you'll find plenty of character, convenience, and shared amenities, this is not a luxury property. Guests who appreciate location, adventure, and value tend to enjoy their stay the most.

Historic Character & Acoustics
Originally built in 1941 and thoughtfully updated for modern travelers, Venture Base retains much of its historic charm and character. As with many older buildings, some signs of age and wear are part of the experience, reflecting the property's long history in the heart of Kanab.

Pet-Friendly
Pets are always welcome at Venture Base. Whether you're traveling with your own furry companion or visiting Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, simply include your pet in the reservation so we can prepare accordingly.

Desert Living
One of the joys of Southern Utah is being surrounded by nature. From time to time, you may encounter local desert wildlife or insects around the property, which is a normal part of the environment.
The red rock landscapes, dark skies, and natural surroundings are part of what makes Kanab such a special destination. If anything needs attention during your stay, we're always happy to help.

Potential noise
Because of the building's original construction, walls are on the thinner side. While we enforce community quiet hours from 10:00 PM until sunrise, you may occasionally hear neighboring guests or outdoor activity in the shared courtyard areas. Sound machines and fans are provided for added comfort, and guests who are particularly sensitive to noise may wish to bring earplugs.
