Whether you are here for world-class fly fishing or are looking for somewhere to take your kids and make memories, we've got a lot of recommendations!
Licenses are REQUIRED for all fishing in Idaho & Montana. They can be purchased online through the Idaho Fish & Game website, the Montana Fish & Game website, or in person at most fly shops in the area!

Float the River

We like floating from Big Springs down to Mack's Inn. Any of the rental places can give you specific directions on where to drop in!
The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center
The Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center is a non-profit wildlife park and educational facility located in West Yellowstone, MT. It is home to various exhibits, attractions, and animals of all shapes and sizes! It is open 365 days a year, which makes it the perfect excursion to add to your itinerary no matter the season.

Hiking
Our favorite tool when it comes to planning a hike is the AllTrails app! It allows you to view key details about various hikes in the area like length, elevation, difficulty, photos, reviews, etc. You can really get a sense of the trail and if it is a good fit for you and your group.

PLEASE BRING BEAR SPRAY WITH YOU ON ANY HIKE IN THE AREA. We have A LOT of bears in and around Island Park and you shouldn't go hiking without it.
Kids Fishing at Stoddard Mill Pond
This local fishing pond is PERFECT for taking your kids fishing! It is stocked periodically.
