Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a reliable and experienced handyman to support the ongoing maintenance of our vacation rental properties. This role involves working independently in the field while staying connected to our operations team for support. You'll handle routine maintenance, guest support requests, light repairs, and seasonal property needs to ensure our rentals stay guest-ready at all times.

Position Details

Location: Summit, Salt Lake, and Utah Counties, UT

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Pay: $16 to $18 per hour, depending on experience, with paid vacation

Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2

Key Responsibilities

Perform quarterly routine maintenance on all properties
Diagnose and repair basic appliance and plumbing issues
Respond to guest maintenance needs during business hours
Deliver items to guests when needed (such as fans, linens, or small appliances)
Conduct property inspections and track inventory
Maintain basic landscaping needs and occasional snow removal
Repair or program sprinkler heads as needed
Communicate and document work through apps like Slack, Breezeway, and Hostaway

Operations Assistance

Conduct daily audits to ensure all units are ready for guests
Communicate with cleaners to verify cleanings will be completed within the dedicated timeframe
Perform check-in inspections to ensure homes are ready for guests
Assign outstanding issues and check to ensure all tasks are assigned
Conduct thermostat audits
Review daily camera footage to ensure the property is in ready-to-rent condition
Perform any other task deemed necessary to ensure guest satisfaction

Requirements

Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle (gas and one oil change per year reimbursed)
Preferred handyman experience, especially in home maintenance, plumbing, or minor electrical
Ability to lift 40+ lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor conditions
Basic toolset a plus (most tools provided)
Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile apps
Self-directed and dependable
