The owners of this home have enjoyed sharing it with people from all over the world for the past 6 years. This home was built in the 60s and has since been remodeled, but old homes still have their quirks.

Parking

4 cars can fit comfortably in the driveway. Street parking is available for additional vehicles. The garage is not available for guests.

4:00pm MST, unless otherwise agreed upon. Early Check-Ins are available on a case by case basis with varied fees.

Gaining Access

Your code will be sent 24 hours prior to check-in via message.

  • Unlocking Upon Arrival: Enter the code into the smart deadbolt (a black touch screen keypad) and press the unlock symbol. You may need to wake it up first. Tutorial Video (note: the code in the video is not your code).
  • Locking Upon Departure: Make sure the door is fully closed, then tap the padlock button. Check that the lock is fully engaged by trying to open the door.

Heating & Cooling

  • You control it! Find the thermostat upstairs in the hallway.
  • Summer: Never set below 70°F (setting it lower will freeze the AC system).
  • Winter: Keep heat on when away to prevent pipes from freezing.
  • Our team remotely monitors settings to protect the home.

Check-Out Instructions

While we do not require our guests to do any chores, these items would be helpful for our cleaners if you have time:

  • Leave all used beds unmade and leave the linens on the beds.
  • For used towels, please put them in a pile on the floor of the bathroom.
  • If you moved furniture, PLEASE move it back!
  • If something didn't work during your stay, please let us know.

If you have extra time, these things help our cleaning team but are not required:

  • Start a load of used towels.
  • Clean any used dishes or start the dishwasher.

Area Recommendations

Food: Puro Peru on State St, O-Ku Sushi, Cafe Barril (fantastic brunch), Handles Ice Cream.

Family Fun: Uptown Jungle, many parks nearby, Aquarium in Draper, Downtown SLC (20 min away), ski hills open in summer for activities and concerts, Real Salt Lake/Utah Royals soccer (5 min from the stadium), Temple Quarry Trail.

Ski Tips: Use the park-and-ride lot at the base of the canyon and take the bus up. On holidays, time your arrivals and departures to avoid traffic up/down the mountain.

House Rules

  1. No Smoking/Vaping: This is a 100% smoke-free property. Any violation will result in a $200 per day fine for the duration of the stay.
  2. Pet Policy: Undisclosed or unauthorized pets will incur a $250 fee. Approved pets and ESAs incur a pet fee found in the listing. ADA-recognized Service Animals stay for free. Guests must clean up after their pet ($25 fee per instance of uncollected waste outdoors). Guests are responsible for professional cleaning costs for indoor accidents and the full cost of any property damage caused by pets.
  3. Early Check-In/Late Check-Out: Requests require 24 hours' notice and are subject to availability. A fee will be charged accordingly. Unauthorized late check-outs will be charged a fee.
  4. Cancellation Policy: By booking, guests agree to the cancellation policy on the listing. If a guest cancels and those dates are successfully rebooked, a refund will be issued for the rebooked portion.
  5. Consumables: We provide an initial supply of paper goods, soaps, sponges, and detergents. Additional supplies are the guest's responsibility.
  6. Lost and Found: Items left behind will be held for 14 days. Items can be shipped for a $20 service fee plus materials and shipping. After 14 days, items are considered abandoned.
  7. Property Condition: Survey the home upon arrival and report pre-existing damage within 4 hours of check-in. After this grace period, the guest accepts the property's condition.
  8. Mail & Packages: Contact guest services before shipping items to the property. The host is not responsible for mail or packages delivered or lost during your stay.
  9. Pest Control: Our properties are professionally treated. Should a pest-related medical issue be reported, guests must provide medical confirmation of the cause.
  10. Lockouts: For key doors, contact guest services for lockbox instructions. For all other lockouts, guests are responsible for hiring a locksmith. If the host's team is dispatched, a $75 service fee will be charged.
  11. Moving Furniture: Not allowed. A $500 fee will be assessed if cleaners have to move furniture.
  12. Third-Party Bookings: Booking on behalf of others is strictly prohibited. Any exceptions require prior written approval from the host.
  13. Quiet Hours: 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Keep all audio and noise at a minimum out of respect for the neighbors.
  14. Missing/Broken Items: Report to the host. Leave broken items on the kitchen counter. Additional charges may apply.
  15. Garbage: All garbage must be bagged and stowed in the bins on the property. A $50 fee per bin will be assessed for unbagged garbage.
  16. Property Maintenance: Light maintenance may occur during your stay. Regularly scheduled exterior services will proceed without prior notice. For indoor maintenance, we will request your permission before entering.

Garbage

Garbage and recycling bins can be found in the backyard. Blue bins are trash, green bins are recycling, and the small grey bin is for glass.

  • Please rinse off before getting in.
  • Do not bring toys or food into the hot tub.
  • Do not raise the temperature above 102 degrees.
  • Quiet hours begin at 10:00 PM. Please close the lid upon leaving.
